Carly

Carly began working in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) in 2005, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. While studying psychology as an undergraduate at NMSU, she worked as a behavior technician, implementing behavioral interventions and strategies for young children with autism under the supervision of a behavioral consultant. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2008, and worked as a case manager for adults with mental health disorders for 2 years, due to limited local employment opportunities in the field of ABA during that time. Between 2010 and 2013, Carly worked with 2 ABA service providers and gained valuable experience as a behavior technician, lead staff, and director of staff training.

Carly began with BCI’s start-up team in March 2014 and first worked as Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). In August 2014, she graduated with her master’s degree in psychology and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in November 2014. As a BCI senior clinician, Carly conducts functional behavior assessments and designs comprehensive behavioral programs for children and adolescents with developmental and behavior disorders. She manages many teams of clients’ direct care staff and monitors and evaluates client progress on an ongoing basis. Recently, she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she now provides on-site clinical support to our TeleHealth clinicians who have BCI clients in the area. Carly is also a part of BCI’s training team and conducts competency checklists for new behavior technicians to ensure they demonstrate professionalism and quality implementation of behavioral strategies to BCI standards.

The BCI Mission and what it means to me

BCI, to me, means the best possible client care, because it is not just one professional working for the client to achieve their full potential, it is an entire team of professionals working together, inspiring each other to be the best they can be.

I contribute to BCI by striving to go the extra mile when serving our clients, supporting my team members whenever possible, and maintaining a positive and professional attitude under any circumstance.
