Melissa has been working in the field of mental and behavioral health for 12 years. She began her work as a direct support professional in a supported group home and as a community-based mental health rehabilitation service provider. It was through this work that Melissa discovered her passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Melissa began working in the field of ABA in 2017 as a behavior technician and children’s program supervisor while completing her Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in ABA. Melissa earned her BCBA in February of 2020 and since then, has held positions as a BCBA and Clinical Training Specialist. Melissa has experience delivering services to clients ages 3-18 years in the clinic and home settings, as well as via telehealth.

Melissa’s role as an RBT Training Specialist includes supporting the completion of initial and advanced competency assessments for behavior technicians, identifying additional training needs and delivering supplemental trainings to support RBT professional development, conducting maintenance and fidelity checks, and providing assistance with case management and supervision when requested by clinicians.
