I have a MA in philosophy, am a certified family peer support worker and trainer, and am an Education and Outreach Manager at the Autism Programs at the University of New Mexico Center for Development and Disability. I’m also the parent of two adults who received autism diagnoses as children. One of my children’s diagnoses still fits, the other child’s diagnosis turned from ASD to schizophrenia when he was 19. I’ve been involved with both national and state autism initiatives for over twenty years.
