Janet began working in the field of ABA in 2019, where she started as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). During her time as an RBT, she worked with various age groups implementing ABA therapy with children who had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Janet observed a need for bilingual services as many families had difficulty finding the resources due to the language barrier. In August of 2023, she accepted the position of Patient Intake Coordinator to help families reach the treatment and resources they need.

The BCI Mission and what it means to me

BCI focuses on reaching families in rural areas and Spanish-speaking families who do not have access to care so they can help provide them with the medically necessary treatment they require. This speaks to Janet since she is passionate about helping families get access to treatment to improve their quality of life. She feels her greatest contribution to BCI is providing Spanish support to help families reach the services they need. She believes being bilingual has helped her create a bridge between families and their ability to access necessary treatment to change their lives.
